Frequently Asked Questions

Our programmes are of many types depending on the requirements of each student. For each level of the language there are three types of programmes. Two are self-study with videos and materials from our teachers and the third program is done in our premises in person with the possibility of online attendance. At our site, these are primarily intensive courses with a 5-hour weekly schedule from mid-October to B1.1 at the end of May of the same academic year. The 5-hour course takes place over two days, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. If you choose the Communication section, it is a 3-hour week which, in the same time frame, takes out A2 level.

According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, all European languages are divided into the following six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. This Framework provides a common basis for teaching and organising material in textbooks or examinations across Europe. The Common European Framework is the basis for the design of language proficiency levels, the organisation of teaching materials for each level and, in general, the purpose and objectives of teaching for each European language taught as a foreign language.

It describes in an understandable way what the learner needs to learn in order to communicate in a foreign language and what skills will help him/her to cope with any situation, whether oral or written. It also describes the cultural environment of which the language is a part.

With the Common European Framework, each student's knowledge can be easily assessed and thus his or her progress in learning any foreign language beyond the educational system of the country where it is spoken as a mother tongue. Read more here.

We are talking about B2 which is a demanding level and if there is no reason to rush, we recommend that you perfect it in 2 school years with 5-hour programs per week. If this is not feasible, then you can take the super advanced course which is 6 hours a week and runs from mid-October this year to mid-November next year with a summer holiday. It does the two school years in one calendar year. It has equally very good results due to the fact that it is chosen by students who consciously choose it and are keen to engage with the language.

Whichever you choose, it's official. The difference between them is that the State Certificate is graded so that one is tested in one exam at 2 levels. For example you take the B level exam as a single exam rather than B1 and B2 separately. Depending on the percentage of marks you get either B1 or B2. Then it depends where you need it. For example, in the private sector it depends on each employer what degrees they would like their employee to have.

They are small. From 5 to 9.

The prices depend on which package one chooses, that of self-teaching with our videos and our material, that of self-teaching with the guidance of a teacher or that of being present at our premises with live lessons. The last package, meaning those who want to attend at our site (either live or online from their home) have 50% discount on the first two packages. Half the tuition is paid at the beginning of the course and the other half in January.

No. Payment of 50% tuition is considered registration. This secures your place in the department.

Sure. We are starting new beginner classes and mid-November and mid-February and summer classes. There are many options.

We'll give you a level test that will show us (alongside the discussion between us) which is the most suitable department for you.

Of course. Those of us who work at Castilli, are Spanish speakers and scholars with many years of experience in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. We also work with the Instituto Cervantes and the Ministry of Education as assessors/examiners in the Diplomas.

Of course! Courses are available both online and in person.

Learning a foreign language opens the doors to an unknown culture. Just as a young child learns his or her mother tongue gradually and slowly, so does a foreign language. We recommend (in addition to lessons with us) daily contact and personal engagement with the language. There is no "easy" language. Mastering it is as miraculous as mastering our mother tongue. And today, with the means at our disposal, it is something very simple. As long as you love it; as long as you love it.

You will now go to our website to fill out our registration form with your personal details, the program you are interested in and the payment method you choose and we will call you about 10 days before the course starts.

It is Edelsa's "Experiencias" series together with the exercise book. For now we won't need anything else. When we receive your registration, we will send you additional materials to your email along with the weekly curriculum.
